very mediocre... the rationale for interlacing was not explained.... why send half the information at twice the rate just to end up with the same frame rate? This question is never answered directly. The answer is that by illuminating half the phosphors every 1/60th of a second the average luminance remains high enough during the 1/30th of a second frame time to avoid the perception of flicker. Without this the explanation is worse than useless.
